Greetings! Welcome to the Zion Lutheran Church website. I’m glad that you are taking the time to get to know a bit about us. I hope you will join us for worship some Sunday morning, as it is in and through worship that you may begin to see more fully what God is up to among us here. We at Zion take our name seriously. Throughout the Bible, Zion is lifted up as having a particular calling from God. It was Zion that was identified as God’s holy hill (Psalm 2:6). Zion was also envisioned as a place from which streams of water came forth (Psalm 46:4). Here at Zion Lutheran Church we strive to do life together: Jesus went alone to the cross so that we don’t have to go it alone. Here at Zion we seek to be a generous community: generous in our relationships with each other and generous in the gifts we offer. Here at Zion we know that we exist not so much for ourselves but for the sake of our neighborhood, community, and world that God so loves. This is the Zion way: doing life together, being known for our generosity, sent as good neighbors to serve the world around us. I hope you might come to see that this is a place where God is active and at work, both bringing people together and sending us out so that He might be worshipped and praised. Feel free to contact the church office if you’d like to set up an appointment to talk or if we can be of service to you. And come worship with us some Sunday. See what being part of the Zion way is all about. God’s peace and joy, Pr. Scott
